If you have dog barking problems, your best friend may start to feel like more of a nuisance than anything. In fact, some dog owners become so frustrated that they give their dogs away because they just don’t know what else to do.
It doesn’t have to be like this. While it may seem impossible to find a reason for your dog’s barking, you need to recognize that there is always a reason. Baby crying is a lot like a dog’s bark. They still have a reason for it even if you don’t know what it is.
He may seem like he barks at everything he sees but there’s actually a good reason behind the barking. He could be spooked or intimidated or feeling the need to be territorial. Maybe your dog barks when he’s excited or happy or when he’s anxious.
Your job is to teach your dog when it’s ok to bark and when it’s best to remain silent or to show his emotions in other ways. Your dog should know when it’s ok to bark and teaching it shouldn’t be difficult. It will help if you create a word that you can all associate with barking. This way when you tell them it’s ok, they understand and when you tell them to stop they will understand.
One of the first steps to stop barking problems for good is to discover the source of the barking. You may not realize it at all times but your dog has a reason for barking at all times just like a baby has a reason when they cry. It’s important to be able to discover what the reason is.
